We confirmed six indoor venues from their own pages: one ice rink, four bowling alleys and one arcade restaurant. They sit in Short Pump, Glen Allen, Midlothian, Scott’s Addition and Richmond. Three of the six are part of a national company, and we say which ones below.
No public dataset ties a skating rink or bowling alley to a neighborhood, so this list is organized by community and not ranked. Mission Realty is a brokerage. We earn nothing from these venues, and we have not measured drive times from any home to any of them. We left out a second ice rink because we could not read its own page.
The six venues at a glance
Each row comes from the venue’s own page, read in November 2026. Prices and hours change, so confirm before you go.

Ice skating in Henrico County
SkateNation Plus is the one rink we could confirm from its own page. The page says the rink is in Downtown Short Pump in Henrico County, offers public skating, lessons for every level, and ice hockey leagues and clinics, and has a regulation NHL rink. It says the rink is open year-round. It gives no public skating schedule and no street address, so call 804-364-1477 for times. The page does not say who owns it, so we will not call it locally owned.
Bowling and arcades in Henrico County
Bowl America Short Pump is at 4400 Pouncey Tract Road. Its page lists 40 lanes, an arcade, a food and drink menu, party packages and leagues. The page says it is “under Bowlero’s management,” and its footer credits Lucky Strike Entertainment. That makes it part of a national company’s operation, not a locally owned alley. The page lists a Night Strike special of unlimited bowling with shoes for $19.99 on Monday to Thursday evenings. Prices were read in November 2026 and may change. It carries a Glen Allen mailing address, and it sits in the Short Pump area, so browse both community pages.
Dave & Buster’s is a national chain. Its Glen Allen page lists arcade games, a restaurant, a sports bar, trivia nights and weekday happy hour from 4 to 7 p.m. It does not list hours, so call (804) 967-7399. The page says the company, Dave & Buster’s, Inc., operates this location and the wider chain. Find it at 4001 Brownstone Boulevard in Glen Allen.
Bowling in the city and Chesterfield County
Uptown Alley is at 6101 Brad McNeer Parkway in Midlothian. Its page lists bowling, more than 60 arcade games, billiard tables, bars, live entertainment, parties and leagues. Posted hours are Monday to Thursday, 4 to 10 p.m., Friday and Saturday, 10 a.m. to 1 a.m., and Sunday, 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. The page does not say who owns it or whether it is part of a chain.
River City Roll is at 939 Myers Street in Scott’s Addition, within Richmond. Its ordering page lists 20 lanes, a full restaurant and bar, weekend brunch, and live music and private events. On Friday and Saturday from 10 p.m., lane rentals are half off at $20 per lane, with only 8 lanes in that promotion. The page does not say who owns it.

Tell us which of these you want close, and we will set up a saved search for the areas named: Short Pump, Glen Allen, Midlothian and Scott’s Addition. New matches will arrive as they list.
Which of these are national chains
- Bowlero on Shrader Road: a national chain brand. Its page footer links to Lucky Strike Entertainment.
- Bowl America Short Pump: its page says Bowlero manages it. Treat it as part of that national operation.
- Dave & Buster’s: a national chain, operated by Dave & Buster’s, Inc.
- SkateNation Plus, Uptown Alley and River City Roll: their pages do not describe ownership. We will not call any of them locally owned.
The Bowlero on Shrader Road
The Bowlero at 8037 Shrader Road has a Richmond, VA 23294 mailing address, and its page does not name the county. It lists 50 lanes, an arcade, billiards, a sports bar, a pro shop and private rooms. Its posted specials include unlimited bowling with shoes for $19.99 on weeknight evenings and $15.99 on weekend late mornings. We read those prices in November 2026, and they may change.
What we left out
We found other rinks, trampoline parks and arcades in local guides. We could not read their own pages, so we left them off. This is a list of verified venues and not a complete census. If you know of one we missed, send it through our contact page.
Using this list when you search for a home
Pick the venue you would use most, then check the drive from each home you like at the hour you would go. A bowling alley or rink is one piece of a weekly routine. For other pieces, see our guides to neighborhoods near live music venues and theaters, youth sports complexes, public playgrounds and splash pads, a walkable brewery and the public library.
When you are ready to talk through buying, our buying process page explains each step, and our active listings show what is on the market now.
